Thanks for all the hard work Capt Jay and Crew. You truly ran an awesome fishing trip us.I highly recomend RunAway for anybody planning on chartering a boat out of Hatteras.
There is not a harder working crew on the Outer Banks, BAR NONE! Captain Jay and mate AMP Busted thier ass to catch us fish. These guys are Top Shelf all the way. Don't waste your money anywhere else. If you want to catch fish, RUNAWAY is all you need to know!
May 8, 2012 - Unbelievable weather, great fishing and Capt. Jay and Mate Amp made sure my husband's 50th birthday present was unforgettable.
Thanks to both of them for getting as excited about fishing as we were!
last year i went just offshore with friends fishing on a small vessell when a storm blew up aboat 7 water spouts scared as hell but i was glad to see the runaway by my side thanks runaway
I fish Hatteras several times a year for the last 15 years and I have to say that I have found a home with Runaway. This is the hardest working Captain that i have ever fished with. Capt Jay is really concerned about catching fish and making his customers happy not just riding around trying to make a day of it.
Thanks for a great day too capt Jay, Joseph and Mike. We have been coming to OBX for years and now we have a new tradition. We caught plenty of Blackfin Tuna and Dolphin we, spotted a Blue Marlin and had two Sailfish come up behind the boat. It was an amazing experiance to fish among the best. I would recomend the Runaway to anyone who would like a great day of fishing. Thanks again see you next year. Ben and the Vermont crew.
Capt Jay and Joseph were truly the best! I challenge anyone to find a better team. Bottom line: If you are serious about fishing ...go with RUNAWAY.
I've been chartering offshore fishing trips for 35 years. Capt Jay and Joseph were responsible for the best trip I've ever had. You guys rock! Thanks so much, guys. Like Steve and Ben said, you can't find a better crew than those aboard the Runaway!
Having sport fished in Aruba and Maui, Jay and crew are bar none the best! From the attentive crew, top notch gear and bait combos we caught tons of fish and had the time of our lives. So happy we are scheduling next year. Jay, you rock!!!!
Want FISH and a GREAT TIME??? Then get onboard the RunAway and prepare to REEL EM IN!!!! Capt. Jay and crew were super attentive and friendly and busted their butts to make sure we had the best off -shore fishing day possible...... and we did! Plenty of fish, good times and memories. We will see ya next year for sure!!!
Went out on the runaway charter the best fishing experience I have had in along time thank you very much Billy Albany ny
Fished with these guys last fall, and damn near sunk the boat with smoker kings! On our way back in a couple of weeks to do it again. In 40 years fishing the Outer Banks, I've never met a harder working team. The Runaway crew is absolutely committed to making you catch fish, so if you don't wanna come back to the dock with a full fish box and sore arms, you should book with someone else. If you want a day of hardcore fishing, and bigtime CATCHING, you can't do any better.
1 mako, 1 wahoo, 1 king ,1 yellowfin, and a half dozen false albacore. Good people and a fast boat. Could not have found a better crew. Would not hesitate to book with this top notch operation. To the best of my knowledge we caught more than any other boat. Great job and thank you. Mike Labrecque,
May 18, 2014. Thanks Jay, Mike and Ian. Awesome day. 601 Lbs. total. This was the absolute best day of fishing I have had out of Hatteras in the 20 some years I have been going. We also caught fish I have never caught before. Trigger, Amberjack, and Black Sea bass. All excellent eating. We are booked for next year already. One of the hardest working crews I have had the pleasure of fishing with. Good luck the remainder of the season!
If you want the best trip on Cape Hatteras it's definitely a 5 star fishing trip couldn't ask for a better captain and 1st mate best fishing charter I've ever been on
