Runaway, Captained by John Olney, is a 46-ft custom
Hatteras charter boat built by Shelton Midgett of Manteo, North Carolina.
Powered by a single Detroit Deisel 8V92 turbo, the Runaway cruises
at a speed of 22 knots and is ideally designed for comfortable sport
and tournament fishing. She is fully equipped with state-of-the-art
electronics including Furuno radar, GPS plotter and color bottom machines.
The cockpit has three fighting chairs and ample room for fishing action. The enclosed salon is quiet and comfortable with plenty of room to relax, have drinks, lunch and comfortably observe the fishing. The forward cabin has a private bathroom, two bunks, freezer space and additional dry storage for backpacks, cameras and other personal gear. There are coolers on board for cold storage as well as room to bring your own cooler for drinks and food if you wish. The Runaway fishes with top of the line, modern tackle and equipment to ensure that your fishing trip will be enjoyable, successful and safe. Captain Olney holds a US Coast Guard 100-ton license and has been fishing the Outer Banks professionally for thirteen years. |
